Part 1 self-introduction

Dear teachers:

​ I'm Rao Jiaxin, a sophomore in Ocean Engineering. Over the past year I’ve been deeply engaged in computer science—C++ and Python for algorithms, and Linux tooling on Ubuntu.

​ An interesting project I plan to build is Money-Manager, a personal finance dashboard that consolidates assets and transactions from multiple platforms into one place like Wechat, Alipay, YouTube and OKX. I will build a pipeline to standardize data, remove duplicates, classify expenses, and visualize cash-flow trends.

​ This project will train my engineering mindset—data modeling, testing, error handling, and security awareness—beyond just coding. That’s why I hope to transfer to Software Engineering: to strengthen my foundations and build practical systems that create real value.
